With everything that’s circulating on the internet and social media right now, it’s hard to separate helpful information from blatant falsities. COVID-19 is a serious matter, so we’re here to help you know how to tackle this virus and ensure that you’re staying healthy!
No Sharing
Keep your blunts, bongs, joints and edibles to yourself! No but seriously, the main way that COVID-19 is spread is through respiration. So, sharing things that you’re breathing through, eating or drinking? Probably not the best idea. If you’re still bumping “Pass the Dutchie,” it’s time to temporarily find a new song.
Wash Your Hands to Prevent Transmission
It’s a simple solution, but it can be easy to take for granted. Although many people might have stocked up on hand sanitizer, sanitizer is really only beneficial if you’re on the go, and can’t get to a sink. As a matter of fact, washing your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water accomplishes the same goal. Considering you’re most likely practicing your social distancing, you should have easy access to one in your home! This is an essential step, especially if you’re handling a substance that you plan on inhaling.

Work on Your Social Distancing
It’s looking like we’re going to have plenty of time to work on those home improvement projects we’ve been trying to get around to. Social distancing can take work and planning. Try to keep your distance, ideally 6 feet, from others when out in public. If you’re able to, work from home. Plan your grocery runs during off-peak hours to avoid the crowds. It’s not easy, and it can definitely feel unnatural, but it’s an important step to flatten the curve!
Know the Symptoms of COVID-19
Amidst the cold and flu seasons, distinguishing the symptoms of COVID can be tough. However, it’s important not to jump to conclusions and run to the doctor if you’re unsure. You could be further jamming up an already overwhelmed medical office. Be sure to be on the lookout for the following:
-
Interaction with someone who has tested positive, or if you have recently been in a high-risk area.
-
Coughing
-
Fever
-
Shortness of Breath
